يرى مارك نوبل لاعب وست هام أن لاعب مانشستر يونايتد جيسي لينجارد تعمد السقوط للحصول على ركلة جزاء في مباراتهما أمس في بطولة كأس رابطة الأندية الإنجليزية.

واستضاف ملعب الأولد ترافورد مباراة الفريقين في دور الـ32 من كأس الرابطة، حيث خسر مانشستر يونايتد بهدف دون رد. هدف فوز وست هام أمام مانشستر يونايتد

وطالب مانشستر يونايتد بالحصول على ركلة جزاء في الشوط الأول، بعد سقوط لينجارد داخل المنطقة بعد عرقلة من مارك نوبل، ولكن لم يُحتسب لهم شيء.

وجاء فوز وست هام في مباراة الأمس بعد أيام قليلة من خسارتهم في ملعبهم أمام مانشستر يونايتد بهدفين لهدف، في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.

وقال مارك نوبل في تصريحات نشرتها صحيفة “ميرور” الإنجليزية: “هذه هي كرة القدم، لقد تعمد لينجارد السقوط، وصرخت عليه وأخبرته بذلك، من المضحك أنه لم يفعل ذلك أمامنا في ملعبنا، ولكنه فعل ذلك هنا (على أرض مانشستر يونايتد)”.

وأضاف: “لقد ضحكنا سويًا في الملعب، أنا أحب لينجارد، إنه شخصية رائعة وأنا سعيد جدًا لقدومه إلى هنا وحصوله على فرصته”.

وقضى لينجارد النصف الثاني من الموسم الماضي على سبيل الإعارة في وست هام، حيث تألق واستعاد ثقته بنفسه.

وواصل: “لقد سجل بعض الأهداف الرائعة، ومن الواضح أن الهدف الذي سجله ضدنا (في مباراة الدوري الإنجليزي قبل أيام) كان مؤلمًا، إنه لاعب رائع ويستحق كل ما يحصل عليه”.

After missing out on signing him in the January transfer window, it looks as though Manchester United may have another chance to sign Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek again.

Reports earlier this year had suggested that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had identified the Netherlands international as a transfer target, but the 23-year-old would then later insist that he would remain at Ajax until at least the end of the season.

Now, according to Dutch publication De Telegraaf, United have stepped up their interest in Van de Beek once again, and are now keen on jumping ahead of Spanish giants Real Madrid in the race to sign him this summer.

After hearing about the update on their move for the Ajax star, fans of the Manchester side flooded to Twitter to share their reactions.

A few United fans raved about how well Van de Beek could fit into the starting line-up at Old Trafford, with one supporter even insisting that if you threw him alongside the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba, Solskjaer’s side could have the best midfield trio in the whole of Europe.

One United supporter declared the Dutchman as the “perfect” replacement for Jesse Lingard this summer – the England international of course has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford after another disappointing campaign that has seen him net just twice in 35 total games.

One of the heroes of Ajax’s famous run to the Champions League semi-finals last season – he netted three times and provided two assists in the competition – Van de Beek has been in similarly imperious form this time around.

A real goal-scoring midfielder, the Dutchman has bagged ten times in 37 games, not to mention the fact he has laid on a further 11 assists too. United would be getting a player who still has the peak years ahead of him, but has already built up considerable experience playing in the Champions League year-in and year-out.

Understandably, many United fans seem excited by the prospect of him joining this summer.

After seeing fellow Championship contenders West Brom slip to a 1-0 defeat away from home on Friday night, Leeds knew they had the perfect opportunity to capitalise on their rivals’ slip-up.

And boy did they do just that. The Whites ran out as comfortable 3-0 winners against Fulham at Elland Road, with the result taking them three points clear at the top of table and promotion to the Premier League well within their sights.

Whilst he may not have gotten on the score-sheet on Saturday afternoon, Pablo Hernandez delivered a vintage performance after coming on in the second half.

As per Sofascore, he had a 100% dribble success rate, provided one key pass, played a major role in the third goal and had 31 touches of the ball – the exact same as fellow midfielder Mateusz Klich who played 80 minutes of the clash.

And after seeing him help Leeds to a huge victory, fans flooded to Twitter to share their delight at the veteran Spaniard’s performance.

A couple of fans talked up how important Hernandez is to the first-team, with one supporter in particular lauding how he “silenced” the Fulham midfield with his calmness in possession.

One Leeds supporter urged the club to wrap Hernandez up in cotton wool in order to preserve him for the upcoming games, and it’s no doubt something Bielsa himself looked to do – the Whites boss having brought him on then took off for the final few minutes of the clash against Fulham.

It’s no surprise that a few Leeds fans are keen to see Hernandez fully fit and firing for the rest of the campaign, and recognise that at 35, is probably not the most ready for games coming thick and fast.

Against Fulham, his cameo showed everyone just why he remains an important part of Bielsa’s squad, and after missing the defeat to Cardiff last week, returned to action with aplomb.

If Leeds are to clinch automatic promotion this season, Hernandez staying fit will be key.

Leeds United fans on Twitter aren’t too worried about rumours resurfacing linking Kalvin Phillips with a move to Manchester United.

The move was originally reported last month, but BBC Sport brought up the prospect of a move happening again when introducing their gossip column on Tuesday.

On the whole, United fans have made it clear that they’re not buying these reports as they believe Phillips will stay loyal to the Whites due to the fact that he’s supported them from a young age.

Of course, club affiliations can go out of the window once the big clubs come knocking, and Leeds fans know this all too well after Alan Smith joined the Red Devils back in 2004 despite once saying that he’d never play for the English giants.

Whether or not the midfielder does swap Elland Road for Old Trafford remains to be seen, but many supporters believe that these rumours are nothing more than gossip.

Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to get back on track this evening when they host Birmingham City at Hillsborough, but they will do so without one key member of the squad, which has left some supporters absolutely delighted.

The Owls were defeated 2-1 by league leaders West Bromwich Albion on Saturday as Charlie Austin slotted home an 88th-minute penalty to secure all three points.

A mix up in defence saw goalkeeper Keiren Westwood clatter down Matheus Pereira inside the area to hand the Baggies substitute an opportunity from the spot and the veteran will now play no part in tonight’s game as a result.

In his pre-match press conference, manager Garry Monk revealed to journalist Dom Howson that the 35-year-old will be out of action due to a slight shoulder injury, meaning Cameron Dawson will be named between the sticks once again – although, this move would have happened either way.

The young backup has made four clean sheets in five appearances this season, so they will certainly be in good hands.

Several of the Wednesday faithful have taken to social media to express their thoughts about the news.

One supporter said it was about time as Dawson had been brilliant every time he’s come into the side while another praised Monk for starting players on merit rather than name.

Others highlighted the fact that Westwood had made too many mistakes recently with a further fan wanting the 24-year-old to keep the long-serving Owl out of the side for the foreseeable future.

Tottenham Hotspur fans aren’t too excited after the club were linked with a move for Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot just a few months after he joined the Serie A side.

According to Calcio Mercato, Spurs are seriously considering making a move for the six-cap France international, while the Lilywhites could include Christian Eriksen as part of any deal to bring the French midfielder to the club.

The 24-year-old has had a lack of appearances at the Turin-based club this season, remaining on the bench for four of Juventus’ eight Serie A games this campaign (via Transfermarkt).

Any move to bring Rabiot to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium would follow the signings of Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso, both of whom joined in the summer transfer window.

Fans seemed to be put off at the potential deal being reported involving Eriksen and Rabiot as they took to Twitter to react.

Football Insider pundit Danny Mills has been raving about Everton midfielder Andre Gomes ahead of this Saturday’s clash against West Ham.

What did he say?

Gomes has been out injured since damaging his ribs in the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers, which was coincidentally their last win in the Premier League. Gomes did play the final 10 minutes against Burnley last time out, but the Wolves victory was on September 1, meaning it has been an alarming seven weeks since the Toffees last secured three points.

However, Mills suggests that Marco Silva’s fortunes could change now that the Portuguese is fit and raring to go.

He told Football Insider: “He’s one of those players you don’t always notice until he’s not there. A lot of people go: ‘Yeah, he’s alright, he does this, does that, but what does he really do?’ Then he goes missing and they go: ‘Oh yeah, that’s what he does.’

“He doesn’t have those outstanding performances where he’s bossing it and driving through the midfield, scoring and shooting and all those types of things.

“He has been a big miss. It’s no excuse, Everton have got strength in depth and some quality and they should have coped better without him, but if they can get him back fit and firing that’s a massive plus.”

A timely return for a crucial man

Under pressure manager Silva will be buzzing more than anyone to see Gomes return for his side. In the time he was injured, Everton conceded nine goals and scored just four times in five games, with just one victory against Sheffield Wednesday in the EFL Cup.

Also, whilst the former Barcelona man has been in the physio room, certain midfield names have put in dreadful displays in his absence. For example, Morgan Schneiderlin registered a 4/10 rating from The Liverpool Echo in the defeat to Sheffield United, a 5/10 for his performance against Manchester City, and last time out earned another dismal 4/10 against Burnley.

Before his injury, Gomes proved to be of great worth to Everton as they lost just once in the five games prior to his absence, not winning in the five subsequent games. The 26-year-old has averaged 1.2 tackles and 2.2 dribbles per game this season and showed his ability in averaging 3.5 long balls last season.

As of now, Silva needs as much firepower as he can get with the club sat inside the relegation zone and on just seven points from eight games. The Euro 2016 champion will certainly improve the Merseyside outfit’s side, but for their fortunes to change, many other names around him need to pick up their slack and save them from this embarrassing time.

وكان الجهاز الطبي للفريق قد أعلن في وقت سابق غياب حمدي فتحي عن المشاركة لفترة تصل إلى شهرين منذ خضوعه لجراحة قبل سفر الفريق إلى السودان.
